Rubber Lined Pipes Wellman Wacoma has diversified into the manufacture of Rubber Lined Pipes, which are used in the Chemical and Metallurgical Processing Industry to carry slurry, organic solvents and other corrosive material. Either natural or Acryonitrile (Nitrile) rubber can be used for lining the pipes but usually nitrile rubber is preferred to natural rubber, as it has better resistance to diluted acid, oil and inorganic chemicals as well as is a better rubber to metal bond and resilience. The rubber is mixed with appropriate chemicals and the pipes are then lined with this mixture.
